Today we decided to sneak away with our big kids and get in some fun, quality time. This was a special treat for them and us, and I absolutely loved it.
Kairi recently really wanted some rollerblades so we got both the girls a pair of new skates. We headed to our local skating rink decorated in our neon tape so we would glow under the black lights. Kai and I were a little disappointed to find out that rollerblades aren't allowed at the skating rink - who knew?!
Earlier this summer, I signed the kids up with Kids Skate Free and they get 2 free skate passes each week throughout the summer!
There weren't very many people there so we almost had the whole rink to ourselves. Kairi won the dice game and Brayce won limbo. 2 winners. 2 prizes - free candy.
They talked Daddy into getting a pair of skates, too. I'm so thankful for this husband of mine that is the best Daddy to our kids that I could've ever asked for. He knows how to love us well and have fun.
The girls LOVE having 2 young brothers, but sometimes I think they also love getting to do big kid things and have ALL of Mommy and Daddy's attention.
