Garage Sale

We did it. Successful garage sale!
We sold nearly everything and gave away the rest. I feel so much lighter with the garage/playroom having been cleared out (a bit). I'm sure as I organize it and clean it up I'll go through it again keeping an eye out for other things that we can get rid of to simplify.
I have a new motto - Experience Over Stuff. This is my new goal for birthdays, Christmases, and everyday life. I want to start making memories and stop collecting stuff.
The garage sale was nice and relaxed. We got up around 6 o'clock and set up tables and started putting the stuff out. Then the husband ran to the store to buy signs. By the first customer came we were already set up and ready to go. SOOOOO much better doing it this way!

My favorite part of the day is when a family drove up in my old car. I had this car when I was 19 until 22 or 23. I am the one who gave it those lovely dents on the hood - oops, sorry! The guy said he just bought it not too long ago for $200 and that he loves it. I had to take a selfie with it to send to my best friend growing up who had the car brand new in 1998.

We finished up around 2 o'clock, picked everything up and took down the signs and crashed onto the couch. I think we watched Netflix for like 8 hours that day because we were so exhausted!
Appreciate my kids, my in-laws, and my husband for their help pulling off our last minute garage sale.
My goal was to sell enough stuff and make enough money for our family vacation to Red River in a couple months! We made the exact amount I was hoping for, but more importantly - the space I gained back. To some my house might look bare in some spots, but to me it makes me smile.
Now time for a nap!
